Self-sufficiency robs us of our sufficiency in Christ.
It is only in christ that we can do all things through him who strengthens us.

Neil T. Anderson
Sometimes we pride ourselves on being strong and independent….I know I have. Being “strong” through our own abilities will only take us so far. It’s been my personal experience that God allowed so-called “inner strength” when I was early in my walk with Him.
I think He humored me, actually. I think He allowed me to think I was in control, and able to make things happen on my own.
If you find that you’re usual bag of tricks to get stuff done and make big things happen are no longer working…well, my friend, that may be a sign that The Lord wants you to mature in your walk.
Surrender self-sufficiency. Trust Him completely.
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
